Improper payment elimination recommendations.
Pursuant to Section 15.5 of the Grant Funds Recovery Act, the Governor's Office of Management and Budget, in conjunction with the Illinois Single Audit Commission, shall research and provide recommendations to the General Assembly regarding the adoption of legislation, in accordance with the federal Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Improvement Act of 2012. The recommendations shall be included in the Annual Report of the Commission to be submitted to the General Assembly on January 1, 2020. The report to the General Assembly shall be filed with the Clerk of the House of Representatives and the Secretary of the Senate in electronic form only, in the manner that the Clerk and the Secretary shall direct. This Section is repealed January 1, 2021.
