(5 ILCS 70/1.38) Sec. 1.38. Physical disability. Except where the context indicates otherwise, in any rule, contract, or other document a reference to the term "crippled" shall be considered a reference to the term "physically disabled" and a reference to the term "crippling" shall be considered a reference to the term "physical disability" or "physically disabling", as appropriate, when referring to a person. The use of either "crippled" or "physically disabled", or "crippling" or "physical disability" shall not invalidate any rule, contract, or other document.
