| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Norman S. Schaid, Sr. of Woodstock, who | 4 | | passed away on December 22, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. was born in McHenry to John and | 6 | | Katherine (Freund) Schaid on May 19, 1925; he married Vera | 7 | | Whipple in Richmond on November 20, 1943; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. was a lifetime farmer in the | 9 | | area; he belonged to the McHenry County Farm Bureau, P.M.A., | 10 | | Wisconsin Dairies, and Genoa City CO-OP; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. was active in McHenry County | 12 | | tractor-pulling contests, winning many first place trophies; | 13 | | he also loved to hunt and play cards; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. was preceded in death by his | 15 | | parents; his wife, Vera; his grandson, Jeremy Schaid; his two | 16 | | brothers, Elmer and Loren Schaid; and his son-in-law, Earl | 17 | | Bauman; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. is survived by his two | 19 | | daughters, Sharon Bauman and Jane (Richard) Harrington; his | 20 | | seven sons, Norman (Michael Leckwee) Schaid, Jr., Jerry |
