| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William B. Snodgrass of Waukegan, who | 4 | | passed away on July 11, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, In his early years, William Snodgrass lived on his | 6 | | parents' farm near Toledo; he served as a Seaman 1st Class in | 7 | | the United States Navy; he completed his bachelor's degree in | 8 | | education at Eastern Illinois University and his master's | 9 | | degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, William Snodgrass worked as a school | 11 | | administrator at North Chicago High School for 30 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, William Snodgrass had many interests, including | 13 | | being an avid golfer, acting as a Precinct Committeeman, and | 14 | | acting as a legislative aid; he volunteered for many years at | 15 | | the Veterans Administration Hospital and the Methodist Church | 16 | | soup kitchen; he also acted as President of the North Chicago | 17 | | Rotary Club and the Illinois Industrial Education Association; | 18 | | some of his greatest enjoyment came from being involved in | 19 | | State and local politics; he attended many political functions | 20 | | and worked tirelessly for candidates by making calls, | 21 | | delivering brochures, and attending fundraisers; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, William Snodgrass is survived by his wife of 64 | 2 | | years, Jean; his children, Fred Snodgrass, Rita Snodgrass, Sara | 3 | | Goodenough, and Kathleen Stone; and his 2 grandchildren, Ryan | 4 | | Stone and Sara Snodgrass; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | William B. Snodgrass, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of William Snodgrass as an expression | 12 | | of our deepest sympathy.
