| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert Matthew Susman, who passed away on | 4 | | June 30, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Susman was born in Waukegan to Matthew and | 6 | | Angeline (Celesnik) Susman on June 5, 1933; he served in the | 7 | | United States Army in Germany for two years; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Robert Susman worked for his father in the family | 9 | | business, Susman Linoleum & Rug Co., in Waukegan and Gurnee; in | 10 | | his later years, he became the store's sole proprietor and | 11 | | worked well into his 80s; he was devoted to his work and to | 12 | | sharing his passion and gifts throughout the community; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Robert Susman was preceded in death by his | 14 | | parents; his brother, Donald Susman; and his nephews, William | 15 | | Deacon and Robert Faber; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Robert Susman is survived by his children, Barbara | 17 | | Ann, Robert Michael, Richard Matthew, and James William Susman; | 18 | | his seven grandchildren; his great-grandchild; his former | 19 | | wife, Gwendolyn (Susman) Mason; his sister, Margaret Faber; his | 20 | | brother-in-law, Nicholas Faber; his three nephews, and his two | 21 | | nieces; therefore, be it
