| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Livestock Management Facilities Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 10.30 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (510 ILCS 77/10.30)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 10.30. Livestock management facility. "Livestock |
| 8 | | management facility" means any animal feeding operation, |
| 9 | | livestock
shelter, or on-farm milking and
and accompanying |
| 10 | | milk-handling area.
Two or more livestock management
|
| 11 | | facilities under common ownership, where the facilities are not |
| 12 | | separated by a
minimum distance of 1/4 mile, and that share a |
| 13 | | common livestock waste handling
facility shall be considered a |
| 14 | | single livestock management facility. A
livestock management |
| 15 | | facility at educational institutions, livestock pasture
|
| 16 | | operations, where animals are housed on a temporary basis such |
| 17 | | as county and
state fairs, livestock shows, race tracks, and |
| 18 | | horse breeding and foaling
farms, and market holding
facilities |
| 19 | | are not subject to this Act. |
