AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3052

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3052, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 2, as follows:

on page 1, immediately below line 9, by inserting the following:

""Debt rate" means the aggregate tax rate levied for capital improvements and bond and interest purposes, to the extent not included in the limiting tax rate."; and

on page 1, line 10, after "is", by inserting "the tax rate levied to produce"; and

on page 3, immediately below line 17, by inserting the following:

"(g) The Department of Revenue shall certify to the State Board of Education the school districts that meet the definitions of "minor district" and "major district", as applicable.

(h) A minor district shall use debt rate collections only for the purpose of retiring debt.".
