| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Arthur "Butch" Wakefield III; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Wakefield III was born in Waukegan to | 5 | | Arthur and Mary (nee Davis) Wakefield on March 2, 1945; he | 6 | | graduated from North Chicago High School in 1963; he enlisted | 7 | | in the United States Army in 1965 and was honorably discharged | 8 | | in 1966 due to an injury in the line of duty; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Wakefield III was employed at the Veterans | 10 | | Affairs Administration in North Chicago, where he worked as a | 11 | | dental technician for over 30 years, receiving numerous | 12 | | accolades; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Wakefield III enjoyed getting up early | 14 | | every day and either visiting family or making his rounds to | 15 | | his favorite breakfast hangouts, Aunt Millie's or the Paragon | 16 | | in Waukegan; he was known for stopping by and visiting family | 17 | | members bright and early on the weekends, bringing great | 18 | | conversation and maybe some donuts and drinking a pot of coffee | 19 | | while he was there; in 2006, he and his wife moved to | 20 | | Sevierville, Tennessee to enjoy a peaceful retirement at the | 21 | | base of the beautiful Smokey Mountains; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Wakefield III was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents and his sister, Sandra Rush; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Arthur Wakefield III is survived by his loving | 4 | | wife of 30 years, Sarah (Jackie) Pettry Wakefield; his | 5 | | daughter, Brenda (Norma) Pettry; his son, Kyle (Terry) | 6 | | Wakefield; his sister, Wanda (Chris) Childs; his sister, Joyce | 7 | | Wakefield; and numerous other family members whom he loved; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Arthur "Butch" Wakefield III, and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | him; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Arthur Wakefield III as an | 16 | | expression of our deepest sympathy.
