| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William Elmer Lee Nickell of Hampton, who | 4 | | passed away on October 15, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Nickell was born in Lineville, Iowa on | 6 | | November 12, 1931 to Bertie and Ellen (nee Davis) Nickell; he | 7 | | spent the first half of his life in the Mercer, Missouri and | 8 | | the Lineville, Iowa areas; he served in the United States Army; | 9 | | he married Joan Fair, and they had 2 daughters, Linda Lea and | 10 | | Deborah Miann; he later married Diane Neely and gained 3 | 11 | | step-children, Michael, Debbie, and Robert; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, William Nickell worked at Hy-Vee and owned the | 13 | | service station in Mercer; he eventually retired from J.I. | 14 | | Case; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, William Nickell had a love of yard mowing and | 16 | | always had a huge garden and loved sharing his bounty; he was | 17 | | an avid fisherman and mushroom hunter; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, William Nickell was preceded in death by his | 19 | | mother; his father; his sister, Lannie; his brother, J.B.; his | 20 | | first wife, Joan; his second wife, Diane; his stepson, Mike; | 21 | | and his daughter, Linda Lea; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, William Nickell is survived by his daughter, | 2 | | Deborah Weber; his son-in-law, John (Maureen) Carter; his | 3 | | grandkids, Donald (Crystal) Carter, John (Yadira) Carter, | 4 | | Tanya (Eugene) Roman, Ronald (Nikki) Carter, Gregory Weber, | 5 | | Mianna Kirk, Amy Weber, and Brittany (Kraig Karzin) Weber; his | 6 | | great-grandkids, Mackenzie, Hannah, Emery, and Kya Lynn; his | 7 | | best friend, Paco (his dog); his brother, Raymond (Darla), and | 8 | | their family; his sister-in-law, Anna, and her family; and his | 9 | | step-children, Debbie and Robert, and their kids and grandkids; | 10 | | therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | William Elmer Lee Nickell, and extend our sincere condolences | 14 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 15 | | it further
