HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Kim Commack on her
4retirement as a Safe School Teacher, Center for Education
5Opportunity, Madison County Regional Safe School Program; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Kim Commack began her education career as a safe
7school teacher in 1979 and has spent all of her 34 years in
8education at the regional safe school in Madison County; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kim Commack taught thousands of at-risk youth
10language art skills and served as a program coordinator to
11educate thousands of young people so that they could become
12productive members of society; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kim Commack received her bachelor of science
14degree from Southwest Missouri State University in
15Springfield, Missouri, in 1977 and her master of science degree
16in special education from Southern Illinois University at
17Edwardsville in 1986; she obtained her National Council for
18Therapeutic Recreation Certification as a Therapeutic
19Recreation Specialist in December 1989; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Kim Commack will be retiring to spend more time
21with her children, Emily, Nathan, and Leah; her husband, Tom;

1and their dog, Molly, and will be making frequent trips to
2their second home at the Lake of the Ozarks; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Kim Commack's retirement from the Center for
4Education Opportunity will become official on May 22, 2013;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
8we congratulate Kim Commack on the occasion of her retirement,
9thank her for her commitment to education, and wish her the
10best in all her future endeavours; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to Kim Commack as an expression of our esteem and
13respect.
