1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 62
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 62 on page 4, by
3 replacing lines 18 through 20 with the following:

4 "Section 3 of Article IV of the Illinois Constitution of 1970.
5 Incarcerated populations residing at unknown"; and

6 on page 6, by replacing lines 11 through 22 with the following:

7     "Section 35. Data; Legislative and Representative
8 Districts. The data prepared by the Secretary of State in
9 Section 30 of this Act shall be used only as the basis for
10 determining Legislative and Representative Districts.
11 Residences at unknown geographic locations within the State
12 under subsection (c) of Section 30 of this Act shall not be
13 used to determine the ideal population of any set of districts,
14 wards, or precincts. The data prepared by the Secretary of
15 State in Section 30 of this Act shall not be used in the

1 distribution of any State or federal aid."; and

2 on page 7, immediately below line 1, by inserting the
3 following:

4     "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
5 becoming law.".
