SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles S. "Chuck" Morgan of Hinsdale,
4who passed away on December 7, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was an avid reader, Civil War expert, and car
6enthusiast; he was a great Santa at Christmas and kicked off
7every occasion with the most heartwarming toasts; he had a
8brilliant sense of humor and even appeared in many clubs across
9Chicago as part of the comedy team of "Dave and Chuck"; and
 
10    WHEREAS, He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Grade School,
11Naperville Central High School, Monmouth College, and Loyola
12Law School; and
 
13    WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, telling
14stories, playing board games, and teaching his children how to
15drive; and
 
16    WHEREAS, He never missed a sporting or school event and
17enjoyed every moment he spent with his children; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Charles Morgan was the beloved husband of Donna,
19nee Evensen; the loving father of Will and Betsy; the cherished
20son of the late James J. "Spike" and the late Muriel M. Morgan;

1the dearest brother of Anne Morgan Salpeter and Thomas W.
2(Carolyn) Morgan and brother-in-law of Lynn J. (Jerry)
3Carnegie; the best uncle of Garrett and Greta Morgan Salpeter,
4James and Joseph Morgan, and Jerry, Charles, Britt, and Karin
5Carnegie; the fond son-in-law of Judith and the late Edward I.
6Evensen; and the special nephew of Elizabeth Symmers and the
7late Flora Morgan and William Morgan; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10his family and friends, the passing of Charles Morgan; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Charles Morgan as a symbol of our
14sincere sympathy.
