1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2082
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2082, AS AMENDED,
3 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
4 following:

5     "Section 5. The Secretary of State Act is amended by adding
6 Section 16 as follows:

7     (15 ILCS 305/16 new)
8     Sec. 16. Quarterly business report. The office of the
9 Secretary of State shall issue a quarterly report to the
10 General Assembly detailing the number of businesses registered
11 with the Secretary of State, the number of new businesses
12 incorporating or otherwise forming in Illinois, and the number
13 of businesses renewing registrations in Illinois by category,
14 including, but not limited to, limited and limited liability
15 partnerships, corporations, and limited liability companies.
16 The report shall include comparable data from the corresponding

1 quarter of the previous calendar year and shall reflect any
2 increases or decreases. The office of the Secretary of State
3 shall publish the report on its website.

4     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
5 becoming law.".
