Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the definition of "mental retardation".

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code is amended by changing Section 1-116 as follows:

(405 ILCS 5/1-116) (from Ch. 91 1/2, par. 1-116)

Sec. 1-116. "Mental retardation" means significantly subaverage general intellectual functioning which exists concurrently with impairment in adaptive behavior and and which originates before the age of 18 years.
