AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5602

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5602, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No.
41, on page 2, by replacing lines 2 through 13 with the
5following:
6                 "(i) any violation of Article 24 unlawful use
7            of weapons under Section 24-1 of the Criminal Code
8            of 1961;
9                 (ii) a violation of the Illinois Controlled
10            Substances Act;
11                 (iii) a violation of the Cannabis Control Act;
12                (iv) a forcible felony as defined in Section
13            2-8 of the Criminal Code of 1961; or
14                (v) a violation of the Methamphetamine Control
15            and Community Protection Act; .
16                (vi) a violation of Section 1-2 of the
17            Harassing and Obscene Communications Act;
18                (vii) a violation of the Hazing Act; or

1                (viii) a violation of Section 12-1, 12-2,
2            12-3, 12-3.05, 12-3.1, 12-3.2, 12-3.4, 12-3.5,
3            12-5, 12-7.3, 12-7.4, 12-7.5, 25-1, or 25-5 of the
4            Criminal Code of 1961."; and
 
5on page 2, line 22, by inserting after "school." the following:
6"If the designated law enforcement and school officials deem it
7to be in the best interest of the minor, the student may be
8referred to in-school or community based social services if
9those services are available. "Rehabilitation services" may
10include interventions by school support personnel, evaluation
11for eligibility for special education, referrals to
12community-based agencies such as youth services, behavioral
13healthcare service providers, drug and alcohol prevention or
14treatment programs, and other interventions as deemed
15appropriate for the student."; and
 
16on page 3, line 17, by inserting after "minor." the following:
17"For purposes of this paragraph, "investigation" means an
18official systematic inquiry by a law enforcement agency into
19actual or suspected criminal activity."; and
 
20on page 4, by replacing lines 10 through 21 with the following:
21                "(i) any violation of Article 24 of the
