AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3241

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3241 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Department of Agriculture Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 205-455 as follows:

(20 ILCS 205/205-455 new)

Sec. 205-455. Department website. To maximize the economic development of the State's agricultural industry, the Department of Agriculture's Internet website, subject to appropriation for that purpose, shall include pages that allow individuals to request information from the Department and to ascertain what available services offered by the Department may be utilized for an individual's agricultural operation. Department personnel, through the website, shall assist in providing farming operations and agricultural businesses, both large and small, with customized government assistance in an expedited fashion. The website shall allow farmers to provide information on their operations and goals, and it shall allow farmers to explain what they would like the Department to do to assist them in their efforts.".
