SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 505/11.1 new

Amends the Children and Family Services Act. Provides that no person may be employed by the Department of Children and Family Services who has been declared a sexually dangerous person under the Sexually Dangerous Persons Act or convicted of committing or attempting to commit specified offenses. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Children and Family Services Act is amended by adding Section 11.1 as follows:

(20 ILCS 505/11.1 new)

Sec. 11.1. Department employees; restrictions. No person may be employed by the Department who has been declared a sexually dangerous person under the Sexually Dangerous Persons Act or convicted of committing or attempting to commit any of the offenses described in subsection (b) of Section 4.2 of the Child Care Act of 1969.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
