| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Helen Louise Sankey-Campbell, who passed | 4 | | away on November 17, 2010; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Helen Sankey-Campbell was born on October 21, | 6 | | 1945, in Chicago; her parents were the late Perry and Louise | 7 | | Sankey; she met and married the late Obadiah Campbell Jr. in | 8 | | February of 1965; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Helen Sankey-Campbell accepted Christ at an early | 10 | | age and was baptized at Canaan Baptist Church under the | 11 | | leadership of the late Rev. E.E. Franklin; she graduated from | 12 | | Parker High School and attended Kennedy-King College; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Helen Sankey-Campbell was a dedicated employee of | 14 | | the Chicago Police Department until her retirement after 33 | 15 | | years of service; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Helen Sankey-Campbell was preceded in death by her | 17 | | parents and her sister, Zelma; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Helen Sankey-Campbell is survived by her | 19 | | daughters, Terri Coleman (Steven) and Toya Campbell-Darrow | 20 | | (Alonzo); her grandchildren, Toya Louise Campbell and Malcolm X |

| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 8 | | her family and friends, the passing of Helen Louise | 9 | | Sankey-Campbell; and be it further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Helen Sankey-Campbell as an | 12 | | expression of our sympathy.
