1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 351
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 351 on page 2, by
3 replacing lines 18 through 21 with the following:

4 "(c) Those who submit responses to invitations to bid on
5 State contracts shall not be given a period after the bid is
6 submitted to cure deficiencies in the bid under this Act,
7 unless mandated by federal law or regulation. This subsection
8 shall not be construed to prohibit a State agency from
9 encouraging vendors to increase Business Enterprise Program
10 participation in a bid after bid submission and opening or
11 awarding a contract to the next most responsive bidder.".
