1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5401
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5401 on page 1, by
3 deleting lines 4 through 17; and

4 on page 2, line 12, by inserting after the period the
5 following:
6 "For the purposes of this Section, "overdose" means a
7 controlled substance-induced physiological event that results
8 in a life-threatening emergency to the individual who ingested,
9 inhaled, injected, or otherwise bodily absorbed a controlled,
10 counterfeit, or look-alike substance or a controlled substance
11 analog."; and

12 on page 3, line 3, by inserting after the period the following:
13 "For the purposes of this Section, "overdose" means a
14 methamphetamine-induced physiological event that results in a
15 life-threatening emergency to the individual who ingested,
16 inhaled, injected, or otherwise bodily absorbed
