1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2296
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2296 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Metropolitan Transit Authority Act is
5 amended by adding Section 53 as follows:

6     (70 ILCS 3605/53 new)
7     Sec. 53. Emergency protocols. Within 6 months after the
8 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General
9 Assembly, the Board must develop written protocols to respond
10 to medical and sanitation emergencies and to other safety
11 hazards.

12     Section 10. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is
13 amended by adding Sections 3A.17 and 3B.16 as follows:

1     Sec. 3A.17. Emergency protocols. Within 6 months after the
2 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General
3 Assembly, the Suburban Bus Board must develop written protocols
4 to respond to medical and sanitation emergencies and to other
5 safety hazards.

6     (70 ILCS 3615/3B.16 new)
7     Sec. 3B.16. Emergency protocols. Within 6 months after the
8 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General
9 Assembly, the Commuter Rail Board must develop written
10 protocols to respond to medical and sanitation emergencies and
11 to other safety hazards.

12     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13 becoming law.".
