AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 639

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 639, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, on page 3, by replacing lines 3 through 11 with the following:

"(a-5) Except where compliance with Section 8-401 of this Act is of an urgent and immediate concern, no representative of a water, gas, or electric utility may discuss with a member of the Commission any matter pertaining to rates that a water, gas, or electric utility is considering filing with the Commission under this Section fewer than 30 days prior to the filing."; and

on page 5, by replacing lines 3 through 8 with the following: "utility. The staff of the Commission or any party of record in a proceeding initiated under this Section who has submitted a post-hearing brief must be given the opportunity to present oral arguments on the propriety of any proposed rate or other charge, classification, contract, practice, rule, or regulation. No rate or other charge,".
