AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4614

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4614, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, on page 2, line 12, by replacing "Not later than" with the following: "In addition to the other requirements of this Section, the school board must publish a notice in the newspaper no later than January 15 annually. The notice must be no less than one-eighth page in size. The smallest type used in the notice must be no less than 12-point type, and the notice must be enclosed in a black border no less than one-fourth inch wide. The notice must be placed in that portion of the newspaper where legal notices and classified advertisements appear. The notice must be published in substantially the following form:

The annual Statement of Public Affairs for (insert school district's legal name) will be available on the Illinois State Board of Education's Internet website after January 15, (insert year), accessible at www.isbe.state.il.us. The statement is also available at the office of (insert school district's legal name and address). Not later than".
