1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2449
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2449 on page 1, by
3 replacing line 6 with the following:
4     "Section 5. Definitions. As used in this Act:
5     "Commission" means the Illinois Commerce Commission."; and

6 on page 2, by replacing lines 4 through 6 with the following:
7     "(e) The Commission has exclusive jurisdiction to
8 determine violations of this Section. If, after a proper
9 complaint and hearing, the Commission determines that a
10 violation has occurred, the Commission shall impose, for each
11 violation, a penalty in an amount not exceeding $10,000. This
12 penalty is the exclusive remedy for any violation of this
13 Section. The Commission shall give priority to any complaint
14 alleging a violation of this Section and shall issue its
15 decision as promptly as possible.".
