1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2221
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2221, AS AMENDED, by
3 replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
4 following:

5     "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding
6 Section 13B-27 as follows:

7     (625 ILCS 5/13B-27 new)
8     Sec. 13B-27. Muffler or exhaust system modification;
9 excessive noise. A vehicle automatically fails the emission
10 inspection required under this Chapter if the vehicle, based on
11 visual observation, is equipped with a muffler or exhaust
12 system that clearly has been modified to amplify or increase
13 the noise of the vehicle.".
