1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2221
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2221 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding
5 Section 13B-27 as follows:

6     (625 ILCS 5/13B-27 new)
7     Sec. 13B-27. Muffler or exhaust system modification;
8 excessive noise. A vehicle automatically fails the emission
9 inspection required under this Chapter if the vehicle is
10 equipped with a muffler or exhaust system that has been
11 modified to amplify or increase the noise of the vehicle above
12 the noise emitted by the muffler or exhaust system originally
13 installed in the vehicle.".
