| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing Section |

| 1-1 as follows:

| Sec. 1-1. This Act may be cited as the Election Code. This |

| Act is the

general election law of Illinois and

| reference in any other Act to "the general election law" or |

hereafter amended. |
