15        Section  10.  The  Department  of  Commerce and Community
16    Affairs Law of the Civil Administrative Code of  Illinois  is
17    amended  by  changing  Sections 605-1 and 605-5 and by adding
18    Section 605-7 as follows:

19        (20 ILCS 605/605-1)
20        Sec. 605-1. Article short title. This Article 605 of  the
21    Civil  Administrative  Code  of  Illinois may be cited as the
22    Department of Commerce  and  Economic  Opportunity  Community
23    Affairs Law.

26        Sec.   605-5.   Definitions.  As  used  in  the  Sections
27    following this Section:
28        "Department"  means  the  Department  of   Commerce   and
29    Economic Opportunity Community Affairs.
30        "Director"  means  the  Director of Commerce and Economic

 2        "Local  government"  means  every  county,  municipality,
 3    township,  school  district,  and   other   local   political

 9        Sec. 605-7.  Name change. On the effective date  of  this
10    amendatory  Act of the 93rd General Assembly, the name of the
11    Department of Commerce and Community Affairs  is  changed  to
12    the   Department   of   Commerce  and  Economic  Opportunity.
13    References in any law, appropriation, rule,  form,  or  other
14    document  (i)  to  the  Department  of Commerce and Community
15    Affairs or to DCCA are deemed, in appropriate contexts, to be
16    references  to  the  Department  of  Commerce  and   Economic
17    Opportunity  for  all  purposes  and  (ii) to the Director of
18    Commerce and Community Affairs  are  deemed,  in  appropriate
19    contexts,  to  be  references to the Director of Commerce and
20    Economic Opportunity for all purposes.

21        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
22    becoming law.".
