 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3732

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3732,  by  deleting
 3    everything  after  the  enacting clause and inserting in lieu
 4    thereof the following:

 5                             "ARTICLE 1

 6        Section 5.  The sum of $102,582,207, or so  much  thereof
 7    as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
 8    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Northern Illinois University
 9    to   meet   the  ordinary  and  contingent  expenses  of  the
10    University,  including  payment  or  reimbursement   to   the
11    University  for personal services and related costs, incurred
12    during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004.

13        Section 10.  The sum of $10,075, or so  much  thereof  as
14    may  be necessary, is appropriated from the State College and
15    University Trust Fund to the Board of  Trustees  of  Northern
16    Illinois   University   for   scholarship  grant  awards,  in
17    accordance with Public Act 91-0083.

18        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
19    July 1, 2003."
