 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3452

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 3452 on page 1,  by
 3    replacing line 26 with the following:

 4        "Section 10. Definitions. In this Act:
 5        "Information  transaction  line"  means  a telephone line
 6    that meets all of the following criteria:
 7             (1)  The line is used by a State agency.
 8             (2)  The line allows a caller to access his  or  her
 9        account  or  accounts  and  related  information  using a
10        touch-tone telephone.
11             (3)  The line delivers or captures, or both delivers
12        and captures, information from callers  and  operates  24
13        hours per day, 7 days per week using a computer-generated
14        voice response.
15             (4)  The  line  allows  a  caller to self-select the
16        information he or she desires by choosing an  appropriate
17        menu option from a list presented by a computer-generated
18        voice.
19             (5)  The   line   allows  data  to  be  captured  by
20        permitting a caller to enter basic information,  such  as
21        the  number  of  hours worked, using his or her telephone
22        dial pad as automated input into the system.

 2    following:
 3    "This  Section  does  not apply to an information transaction
 4    line.".
