20    and  crimes  against  the  family  appeals cases to which the
21    agency  is  appointed,  to  provide  statewide  training  and
22    services to Illinois Public Defenders,  and  to  enhance  the
23    capability   of   public   defenders  in  rural  counties  to
24    effectively represent their  clients  in  appropriate  cases,
25    making  available expert witnesses and investigative services
26    to them:

 1        Section 20.  The amount of $2,728,000, or so much thereof
 2    as  may  be  necessary,  is  appropriated  from  the  Capital
 3    Litigation Trust Fund to the Office of  the  State  Appellate
 4    Defender  for  expenses  incurred  in providing assistance to
 5    trial attorneys under subdivision (c)(5) of Section 10 of the
 6    State Appellate Defender Act.

 7        Section 25.  The amount of $157,000, or so  much  thereof
 8    as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
 9    Fund  to  the  Office  of  the  State  Appellate Defender for
10    expenses incurred  to  operate  the  Expungement  Information
11    Program.
