1 AN ACT concerning higher education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
5 adding Section 25 as follows:
6 (110 ILCS 305/25 new)
7 Sec. 25. Limitation on tuition increase. Beginning with
8 the 2004-2005 academic year, the tuition charged an
9 undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not
10 exceed the amount that the student was charged at the time he
11 or she first enrolled in the University as an Illinois
12 resident if that student enrolled not more than 3 and
13 one-half academic years before.
14 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management
15 Act is amended by adding Section 15 as follows:
16 (110 ILCS 520/15 new)
17 Sec. 15. Limitation on tuition increase. Beginning with
18 the 2004-2005 academic year, the tuition charged an
19 undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not
20 exceed the amount that the student was charged at the time he
21 or she first enrolled in the University as an Illinois
22 resident if that student enrolled not more than 3 and
23 one-half academic years before.
24 Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended
25 by adding Section 5-120 as follows:

1 with the 2004-2005 academic year, the tuition charged an
2 undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not

4 or she first enrolled in the University as an Illinois

7 Section 20. The Eastern Illinois University Law is
8 amended by adding Section 10-120 as follows:

11 with the 2004-2005 academic year, the tuition charged an
12 undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not
13 exceed the amount that the student was charged at the time he
14 or she first enrolled in the University as an Illinois
15 resident if that student enrolled not more than 3 and
16 one-half academic years before.
17 Section 25. The Governors State University Law is amended
18 by adding Section 15-120 as follows:

22 undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not
23 exceed the amount that the student was charged at the time he

27 Section 30. The Illinois State University Law is amended
28 by adding Section 20-125 as follows:

3 with the 2004-2005 academic year, the tuition charged an
4 undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not
5 exceed the amount that the student was charged at the time he
6 or she first enrolled in the University as an Illinois
7 resident if that student enrolled not more than 3 and
8 one-half academic years before.
9 Section 35. The Northeastern Illinois University Law is
10 amended by adding Section 25-120 as follows:
