AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 921

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 921 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The State Universities Civil Service Act is amended by adding Section 44.5 as follows:

(110 ILCS 70/44.5 new)

Sec. 44.5. Privatization prohibited. With respect to the services that employees covered by this Act provide on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly, a public university may not enter into a contract with a private entity on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly to provide those services.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
