 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 300

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 300 as follows:
 3    on line 14, before "The",  by  inserting  the  following:  "A
 4    statement  of  the  costs  of  providing electronic access to
 5    public records shall be prepared by  the  county  board.  All
 6    supporting  documents  shall be public records and subject to
 7    public examination and audit. All direct and indirect  costs,
 8    as  defined  in  the  United  States Office of Management and
 9    Budget Circular A-87, may be included in the determination of
10    the costs of electronic access to public records."; and

11    on line 16, before "The", by inserting the  following:  "Fees
12    shall  be  charged  only  to  commercial  users  and shall be
13    permitted only when the data requested consists  of  multiple
14    records  that  have  been manipulated or sorted in a specific
15    manner beyond the reporting requirements of State law.".
