SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert A. Gagnon of Antioch, who passed
4away on October 11, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Gagnon was born on April 7, 1943 in
6Chicago; his parents were Emmanuel and Evelyn (nee
7Filaitreault) Gagnon; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Gagnon served as a Permanent Deacon at St.
9Peter Church in Antioch for over 2 decades; he served the
10church as a Deacon, a member of the Clown Club, the founder of
11the Active Adult of Tomorrow Teen Club, a teacher of
12Confraternity of Christian Doctrine and Pre-Cana classes, and a
13member of the Marriage Encounter program; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Gagnon was a member of the Knights of
15Columbus Father Henderson Council 3800; he served as a Chaplain
16for the Antioch Police Department; he was also a member of the
17St. Peter Church Choir and St. Vincent de Paul, a member and
18President of the Exchange Club of Antioch, and a member of
19numerous other volunteer organizations; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert Gagnon is survived by his wife of nearly 50
21years, Faith (nee Clark); his children, Christopher

1(Elizabeth) Gagnon, Indus (David) Kreutz, and Timothy
2(Kimberly) Gagnon; his grandchildren, Maaike, Cameron, Sarah,
3Ian, Emily, Andrew, Wesley, Hunter, Nicholas, and Ellie; his
4siblings, William (Debra) Gagnon and Marie (William) Bateman;
5and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert A. Gagnon; and
10be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Robert Gagnon as an expression of
13our sympathy.
