SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert J. Barrows of Gurnee, who passed away on July 16, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Robert Barrows was born on August 14, 1925 in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Robert Barrows served his country as a member of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Robert Barrows was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Theresa Barrows, and his brother, Leon Barrows; and

WHEREAS, Robert Barrows is survived by his loving wife, Aldona (Berkiel) Barrows; his children, Lawrence H. Quendenfeld (Sherrie), Karen L. Mihevc (Douglas), and Richard A. Barrows (Tava); his grandchildren, Debra Holtzapple (Bobby), Stacie and Kimmy Quendenfeld, and Kristen and Collin Mihevc; his great-grandchildren, Kevin, Alexis, and Camron; and his siblings, Eileen Smith, Jack Barrows (Mary Ann), Don Barrows (Nancy), Joanne Chase, and Patricia Thiel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert J. Barrows; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Barrows as an expression of our sympathy.
