SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Arthur Patrick Tiffany of McHenry, who passed away on June 15, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Tiffany was born on August 31, 1935, in Chicago; his parents were Arthur and Rosemary Tiffany; he married Charlaine "Charlie" Florence Hofherr on September 12, 1964, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Tiffany served his country with pride as a paratrooper in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict; and

WHEREAS, In 1973, Arthur Tiffany and his wife moved their four children to McHenry, where they raised their family and remained surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter; after his retirement, he drove a school bus in McHenry for 10 years and enjoyed the opportunity to teach and learn from the children and teens he drove; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Tiffany enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, attending concerts, hosting at Thanksgiving, and vacationing with his children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Tiffany was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eleanor; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Tiffany is survived by his wife, Charlaine; his children, Shannon (Richard) Kottke, Aleen (Curt Rehberg) Tiffany, Flynn (Eileen) Tiffany, and Kathleen (Miguel) Villagomez; his grandchildren, Cheryl (Dustin), Adam, Christopher, Bradleigh, Morgan, Chloe, Noah, Priscilla, Dalilah, and Adrianna; and his great-granddaughter, Lydia; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Arthur Patrick Tiffany; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arthur Tiffany as an expression of our sympathy.
