SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jewell L. Rosson of Anna, who passed away on March 13, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Jewell Rosson was born on October 26, 1931, in Wolf Lake; her parents were Ogle A. and Florence L. Vincent Miller; she married Glenn R. Rosson on January 5, 1962, in Mound City; and

WHEREAS, Jewell Rosson was employed at GTE for 25 years; she later worked at Anna-Jonesboro National Bank from 1972 to 2012; and

WHEREAS, Jewell Rosson was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Jewell Rosson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; her stepsons, Ron and Jerry Rosson; and her sisters, Evelyn Miller and Arlene Poe; and

WHEREAS, Jewell Rosson is survived by her sisters, Shirley Almond and Patricia (Wayne) Stephenson; her daughter-in-law, Joyce Rosson; her nieces, Richie (Richard) Holden, Dana (Charles) Cavaness, Carla Haug, and Christi (Mark) Hankins; her nephews, Cameron Stephenson and Matt and Tyler Bond; her great-nephews, Nathan Holden, Allen Cavaness, Rick Williams, and Wesley Haug; and her other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Jewell L. Rosson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jewell Rosson as an expression of our sympathy.
