SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Juanita L. Kohl of Oak Park, who passed away on July 27, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Juanita Kohl was born in Chicago on October 19, 1917 to Lewis and Hazel Morrison; she graduated from Ruggles Elementary School and Calumet High School; she received her associate's degree from Morgan Park Junior College; and

WHEREAS, Juanita Kohl enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles; she was a former member of the St. Bernardine Women's Club; and

WHEREAS, Juanita Kohl was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Kohl; and

WHEREAS, Juanita Kohl is survived by her husband of 74 years, Chester; her children, Denise (Jerome) Sechser, Raymond (Harpal), Therese (James) Juliano, and Marguerite (Dr. Randall) Miller; her grandchildren, Dr. Todd (Cara), Erik Sechser, Jill Sechser, Jamie Juliano, Jeffrey (Jenny) Juliano, Dr. Megan (Dr. Christopher) Reis, and Matthew (Emily) Miller; and her 9 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Juanita L. Kohl, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Juanita Kohl as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
