SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Beverly Joyce Montgomery of Crystal Lake, who passed away on September 17, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery was born on August 1, 1939 in Woodstock; her parents were George and Marie Hollister; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery was a graduate of Harvard High School; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery was employed at Arnold Engineering in Marengo for many years; she was the founder of Dundee Resale Shop, which she owned and operated for many years; she also worked for Kmart in Woodstock, where she retired in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, computer games, and Wheel of Fortune; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery was preceded in death by a son, Rory Montgomery; a brother, George Hollister; a sister, Ellen Pippel; and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Montgomery is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Montgomery; 3 children, Robert Montgomery, Jr., Rhonda Guzy, and Rodney Montgomery; 4 grandchildren, Robert Montgomery, III, Amie and April Guzy, and Corey Thompson; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Russell and David Hollister; 2 sisters, Dorothy Berry and Diane Krause; and her dear friend, Cheryl; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Beverly Joyce Montgomery; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Beverly Montgomery as an expression of our sympathy.
