SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael E. McKenzie of Marengo, who
4passed away on September 11, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael McKenzie was born on October 31, 1961 in
6Columbus, Ohio; his parents were Cloyce "Doc" and Bonnie (nee
7Wise) McKenzie; he married Gina Moore on May 23, 1987 in
8Crystal Lake; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Michael McKenzie graduated from Delaware Hayes
10High School; he went on to receive degrees in electrical
11aviation and electronics and his FCC radio and telephone
12operator's license; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Michael McKenzie was the owner of Mike's
14Electrical Contracting; he also worked as the pool and spa
15electrical contractor for Meier's Outdoor World in Fox Lake;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Michael McKenzie enjoyed working, spending time
18with his family, watching the Bears, and having a cold beer
19after a long day at work; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Michael McKenzie was preceded in death by his

1grandparents; his mother and father-in-law; an aunt, Mary
2Terrell; an uncle, Larry Dale McKenzie; and 2 cousins; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Michael McKenzie is survived by his parents; his
4wife, Gina; 3 sons, Michael, Ryan, and Richard; a brother,
5David (Julie); 3 grandchildren, Joseph, Avery, and Ayden; a
6sister-in-law, Kim (Jerry) Marsh; a brother-in-law, David
7(Samantha) Moore; 2 nephews, Devin and Austin; 2 nieces,
8Jennifer and Meaghn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael E. McKenzie;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Michael McKenzie as an expression of
16our sympathy.
