SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Devin Alan Rahn of Lake in the Hills, who passed away on August 14, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Devin Rahn was born in Arlington Heights on May 5, 1988 to Mark and Elke (nee Bove) Rahn; he was a 2006 graduate of Harry D. Jacobs High School and a graduate of Iowa State University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity; and

WHEREAS, Devin Rahn worked in the tire department at Costco in Lake in the Hills for 5 years during college; he was an amateur comedian and co-founder of the Dead End Comedy Club at the Penny Road Pub in Barrington; and

WHEREAS, Devin Rahn enjoyed playing the guitar and watching and creating funny videos; and

WHEREAS, Devin Rahn is survived by his parents; paternal grandparents, Richard and Shirley Rahn; brother and sisters, Corey, Markie, and Alexandra; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and childhood friends, Mark Smith and Brian Smith; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Devin Alan Rahn, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Devin Rahn as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
