SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lila Ruth Cobb Rosengren, who passed away
4on June 6, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lila Rosengren was born April 3, 1924 in Waukegan;
6her parents were Andrew and Elsie (nee Rogers) Cobb; she
7married Robert C. Rosengren in 1963; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Lila Rosengren grew up in Antioch with her father
9and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cobb; after
10high school, she began a long career as a civil servant,
11working as a secretary for Great Lakes Naval Station and the
12Downey Veterans Administration Hospital; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lila Rosengren loved travel, music, dancing,
14bowling, golf, boating, fishing, and food; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Lila Rosengren was preceded in death by her
16husband, Robert C. Rosengren; her parents; and her stepmother,
17Violet Cobb; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Lila Rosengren is survived by her sister-in-law,
19Betty Wright; 10 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces,
20great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Lila Ruth Cobb
5Rosengren; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Lila Rosengren as an expression of
8our sympathy.
