SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal Steven M. Hancock of Coal City; and

WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Steven Hancock dedicated his life to serving his country and passed away training to protect and serve to the best of his abilities; and

WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Steven Hancock's patriotism and courage will be remembered fondly by his loving family, his fellow soldiers, and the citizens of our grateful nation; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal Steven M. Hancock; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lance Corporal Steven Hancock as an expression of our sympathy.
