SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Janice Faye Tyler, who passed away on May
417, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Janice Tyler was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on
6September 18, 1953 to Earnest Joseph, Sr. and Lena Maye Tyler;
7she attended Townsend Park Elementary School in Pine Bluff,
8Carter H. Harrison High School in Chicago, and Malcolm X
9College; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Janice Tyler was employed by the Hillside Manor
11Hotel as a manager, where she served faithfully for 30 years;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Janice Tyler was preceded in death by her father,
14Earnest Joseph Tyler Sr.; sisters, Cynthia Y. Tyler and Alma L.
15Tyler; grandparents, LC and Beguila Harper; 2 uncles and 2
16aunts; one nephew, Earnest J. Tyler III; and 2 brothers-in-law,
17James Hunter and Robert Walton; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Janice Tyler is survived by her son, Terrence
19(Kisha) Lang; 2 daughters, Tracey F. Land and Stephanie Tyler;
206 grandchildren, Rakita, Tyericka, Telvin, Tyrin, Travion, and
21Princess Isis; one great-grandchild, Trinity; 6 sisters,

1Earnestine Tyler Walter, Catherine (Reverend Robert) Faulkner,
2Levita Hunter, Amelia Tyler, Shirley Tyler, and Evangelist
3Sharon (Derrick) Jones Sr.; one brother, Earnest J. Tyler Jr.;
419 nephews and nieces; 24 great-nieces and great-nephews; very
5special friend, Mr. Robert; and a host of uncles, aunts, other
6relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Janice Faye Tyler, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Janice Tyler as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
