SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marion L. Deadrick, formerly of Gurnee,
4who passed away on February 16, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marion Deadrick was born on January 23, 1922 in
6Waukegan to Fred and Dorothea (nee Meyer) Shea; she married
7James E. Deadrick on February 16, 1946 in Waukegan; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marion Deadrick was an extraordinary gardener,
9and she enjoyed tending to her family as well as her garden;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Marion Deadrick was preceded in death by her
12parents; husband, James; her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and
13Denise Deadrick; one brother, Lt. Col. Eugene A. Shea; 2
14sisters, Lois Johnson and Patricia Arnswald; one
15brother-in-law, Harland Johnson; and one great-granddaughter,
16Pressley McHugh; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Marion Deadrick is survived by her 4 children, Sue
18(Bob) Hawkins, Sally Coffelt, Tim Deadrick, and Amy (Ken)
19Thalacker; 2 sisters, Rose (William) Bandli and June (Don)
20Cermak; one brother-in-law, Norman Arnswald; 9 grandchildren;
219 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Marion L. Deadrick, and extend our sincere condolences to her
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Marion Deadrick as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
