SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Earl Hildemar Leafblad of Waukegan, who passed away on April 8, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Earl Leafblad was born on July 13, 1929 in Mason, Wisconsin and grew up in Bayfield; and

WHEREAS, Earl Leafblad worked with his family at Leafblad Landscaping; and

WHEREAS, Earl Leafblad was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for over 50 years; and

WHEREAS, Earl Leafblad was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Jean; daughter, Jina Riley; son, Wayne Earl Leafblad; great-granddaughter, Te'Liyah Jones; parents, Hildemar and Britta; and 9 siblings; and

WHEREAS, Earl Leafblad is survived by his children, Mark (Marian) Leafblad, Charles Leafblad, and Jana Jones; 4 grandchildren, Shareace (Alphonso) Jackson, Robin Leafblad, Robert (Lakesha) Jones, and Grace Leafblad; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Bell; son-in-law, J.J. Riley; sisters-in-law, Delphine Leafblad and Clara Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Earl Hildemar Leafblad, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Earl Leafblad as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
