SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jane L. Collins of rural Woodstock, who passed away on March 1, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Jane Collins enjoyed being amongst the outdoors and protecting McHenry County's natural resources; she loved mountains, trees, prairies, lighthouses, cats, and all creatures great and small; and

WHEREAS, Jane Collins delighted in and admired the works of E.B. White, Henry Beston, Virginia Eiffert, Rachel Carson, Eliot Porter, William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, and Yo Yo Ma; and

WHEREAS, Jane Collins found the greatest pleasure in sharing laughter, food, and books with friends; and

WHEREAS, Jane Collins is survived by her husband, John, whom she met and married in Nigeria where they were both serving in the Peace Corps; her sister, Joan Emehiser; and her brothers, Harold Littleton and Glen Littleton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jane L. Collins, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jane Collins as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
