SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kathleen "Katie" Cecilia Williams of
4Alton, who passed away on March 17, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kathleen Williams was born on April 16, 1932 in
6Carlinville; her parents were Rodney K. and Catherine C. (nee
7Matthews) Stalcup; she married Harry E. Williams on December
831, 1953 in Brighton; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kathleen Williams graduated from Marquette
10Catholic High School in 1950; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Kathleen Williams was a life-long member of Saints
12Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton, where she was a member
13of the Altar Society and active with the choir; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Kathleen Williams was preceded in death by her
15parents; her brothers, Larry, James, Richard, and Jack Stalcup;
16and her sister, Faye Collins; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kathleen Williams was the loving mother of Sean
18(Barbara), Matthew (Cathy), Robert, Brian, Mary Ann,
19Christopher (Michelle), Peter (Becky), Harry (Katie), and
20Patrick Williams; the cherished grandmother of Christina,

1Nickolas, Pamela, Sarah, Virginia, Megan, Courtney, Brandon,
2Emily, Kathryn, Owen, Abigail, Sean, Rory, Brian, Cecilia, and
3Parker Jane; and the great-grandmother of William, Gabrielle,
4Olivia, Ellie, and William "Liam"; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Kathleen "Katie"
8Cecilia Williams; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Kathleen Williams as an expression
11of our sympathy.
