HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Glenda Green of Waukegan, who passed away on October 11, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Green was born on September 10, 1952 in Sheffield, Alabama; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Green served as a caseworker in Warren Township for 14 years; she was also the owner and operator of White Lightning Cleaning in Gurnee for 13 years; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Green was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Sparks, and her brother, Michael Green; and

WHEREAS, Glenda Green was the beloved daughter of Alvie L. and Lennie P. (nee Smith) Green; the loving mother of Tina (Tim) Turner and Tiffany (Eric) King; the grandmother of Matthew and Mason Turner and Kayleigh and Cameron King; the dear sister of Kathy (Julio) Polanco, Donna Roberts, and Tony (Sarah) Green; the adored aunt of 10; the great-aunt of 4; and the fond cousin of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Glenda Green; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Glenda Green as an expression of our sympathy.
